Garra Rufa are known for their unique therapeutic properties. They are a type of freshwater carp native to water basins of the Middle East. Since their discovery in Turkey in the 19th Century they have been recognised for their ability to cleanse and exfoliate the skin, leaving it fresh, soft and revitalised! The toothless pedicurists suck away dead skin from your feet whilst giving you a therapeutic foot massage.
Acupuncture points are activated by the fish, who know instinctively where to go on your feet.
